Holidays during June, 1956

Dear Sir:
The Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System is advised that the following Federal Reserve banks and branches will
be closed on Wednesday, June 5, in observance of the Birthday of
Jefferson Davis and Confederate Memorial Day:
Richmond
Atlanta
Birmingham
Jacksonville
Nashville
Now Orleans

Louisville
Memphis
Dallas
El Paso
Houston
San Antonio

The Board is further advised that the Federal Reserve Bank
of Boston will bo closed on Wednesday, June 17, in observance of
Bunker Hill Day.
On the dates given the offices mentioned will not participate
in either the transit or the Federal Reserve note clearing through
the Interdistrict Settlement Fund. Please include transit clearing
credits for the offices affected on each of the holidays with your
credits for the following business day. No debits covering Federal

Reserve note shipments for account of the head offices concerned
should be included in your note clearings of June 3 and 17.
Please notify branches.
