Dear Sir: The Federal Reserve Board has been advised that the following holidays will "be observed by Federal reserve banks and branches during August: Tuesday, August 1 Denver Colorado Day Saturday, August 36 Dallas Election Day " " " El Paso " " " " " Houston " " 11 " " San Antonio " " On the dates given the offices affected will not participate in either the transit or the Federal reserve note clearing through the Gold Settlement Fund. Please include transit clearing credits for each of the offices concerned with your credits for the following busi ness day. No debits covering shipments of Federal reserve notes for account of the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas should be made on Saturday, August 26. Please notify branches. Very truly yours, J. C.
