SUBJECT; Monthly Currency Reports on Form 160.
Dear Sir:
Several of the Federal reserve banks have
indicated a desire to discontinue the separation of
old and new series currency in their monthly reports
on Federal Reserve Board Form 160.
This matter has been considered by the Board,
after consultation with the Treasury Department, which
also makes use of this data contained in the reports,
and you are advised that beginning rith transactions
in the month of July a consolidated report on Form 160
for both series will be acceptable to the Board and
the Treasury Department.
