Owing to the fact that Thursday, February 22d,
’•Washington’s Birthday," is a holiday in Washington, the
offices of the Federal Reserve Board will be closed on
that day.

Please be advised, therefore, that transactions

under the Gold Settlement Fund cannot be made on February
22, 1917»

The weekly settlement usually made on Thursday

will be omitted on February 22d, and made on February 23 d.
Please, however, forward telegrams and letters on which
the settlement is made, as usual.
