Dear Sir: Beginning August 1, 1922, the Federal Reserve Board will use the following code word in advising the Federal Reserve Banks by wire of shipments to them of new United St~tes currency: CLAVICLE: Treasurer, U. S., requested to ship immediately to (name of bank or branch) (~mount) (denomination) against your estimate of ~mount of new currency required during the current month. Please credit Treasurer, U. S., as tr~sfer of funds upon receipt. The Board will continue to use the code word "C.ANARDER" which appears on page 40 of the code book in advising Federal Reserve Banks of shipments of Feder~l Reserve Bank notes. The Board will continue to use the code word given below in making requests of Federal Reserve Banks for issue of Federal Reserve notes to the Treasurer of the United States for making disbursements in Washington: CLAYBANK: Treasurer, U. S. desires to obtain your Federal Reserve notes (amount)(denomin~tion). If you can accommodate him please arrange 'Ni th .Agent your bank to wire Board today instructions to ieliver your Federal Reserve notes to Treasurer on (date) ,taking credit in Treasurer's general account same date. The Federal Reserve Agents in wiring authority to the Board to deliver Federal Reserve notes to the Treasurer, U. S.,will continue using the·following code word: CLAYKILN: Collateral having been deposited with me to cover issue, please request Comptroller to deliver to Treasurer, U.
