72 B'OARD OF GOVERNORS OF TH~ FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM WASHINGTON R-977 ADDRESS OFFICIAL CORRESPONDENCE TO THE SOARD April 22, 1942 Dear Sir: On Saturday, May 30, Memorial Day, the offices of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve ~rstem will be closed and there will be neither transit nor Federal Reserve note clearing through the Board's Interdistrict Settlement Fund. All Federal Reserve Banks and branches will be closed on that da;v except Atlanta, Birmingha:1, Jacksonville, Little Rock, and Louisville. The Board is advised that the following holidays also will be observed during :the month of May: Charlotte Branch In observance of Confederate Memorial Day, which falls on Sunday May 15 (Friday) Portland Branch Pri~ary May 20 (Wednesday) Charlotte Branch Mecklenburg Independence Day May 11 (Monday) election day in Oregon Please include transit clearing credits for the offices affected on May 11, 15 and 20 with your credits for the following business dey.
