Dear Sir: There are enclosed herewith copies of "Oatline of Federal Beserve Branch Banks, covering Powers and Functions, also Character and Volume of Business Handled", revised as of June 30, 1920. The o u t l i n e i s based on information furnished in response to the Board's l e t t e r of June 4 (St.1196), as w e l l as on regular and s p e c i a l reports received from the Federal Reserve Banks and Branches during the f i r s t h a l f of the present year. As s t a t e d i n the Board 1 s l e t t e r S t . 623 of October 2, 1919, transmitting the o r i g i n a l o u t l i n e , the purpose of the compilation i s to present in a •uniform way, for the i n f 0 m a t i o n of the members and o f f i c e r s of the Federal Reserve Board and the o f f i c e r s of the Federal Reserve Banks and Branches, the method of operation obtaining at each Branch Bank. I t i s expected that the statement w i l l be r e v i s e d again during the forthcoming year, and with a view to keeping i t up to date i t w i l l be appreciated i f the Board's a t t e n t i o n i s c a l l e d to any a l t e r a t i o n s or r e v i s i o n s that may become necessary because of changes i n the organization or operation of Branches.
