Dear S i r : There a r e enclosed herewith 50 copies of form 44-a (Revised September 12, 1919) for use i n making f u t u r e monthly r e p o r t s of Federal Reserve n o t e s o u t s t a n d i n g and on hand a l s o funds h e l d as s e c u r i t y f o r o u t s t a n d i n g n o t e s . The only changes i n the form are the a d d i t i o n of the words "Gold Settlement Fund" a f t e r "Credit balance with Federal Reserve Board"(item ROLF), and the s u b s t i t u t i o n of the code word RITT f o r BEET to designate Federal Reserve n o t e s on hand, as w e l l as the a d d i t i o n of a note e x p l a i n i n g the c h a r a c t e r of information to be reported a g a i n s t item RITT.
