X-940'7, dated December 2.7, 1935, regarding the recomillendation of the Governors 1 conference that meetings of the Boards of Directors of the twelve Federal Reserve banks be held on the same day, was presented and discussed at the meeting of our directors held on January 9. Thedirectors feel that there is some question as to the practicability of arranging for meetings . of all twelve boards on the same date, but expressed a willingness to cooperate in this matter provided the first meeting date in each month is not set so close to the first of the month that the usual endof-month reports will not be available for consideration. The directors also expressed themselves as preferring to continue their present practice of holding two meetings each month.
