Message for Governor Eccles

Miss Morgan
•r•

Mr* Daiger wishes Governor Eccles to have the following
information:
Dr. Alexander Sachs called him at his home last night
after having had dinner at the White House. Dr. Sachs said that he
had had an opportunity to report to the President on the New York
assignment that the President had given him last week and that he
(Dr. Sachs) had mentioned to Governor Eccles. Dr. Sachs said that
he told the President the matter was being taken up through very
satisfactory connections in New York and that he thought the President
could rely on the kind of assistance that he wanted. In this connection the President told Dr. Sachs that he had invited Senator
Glass to luncheon today (Tuesday) at the White House.
