Both Hr* Fahey and Hr. McKee asked to have their
congratulations conveyed to you*
In discussing the proposed publicity of your letter
to Mr* Giannini, the latter stated over the telephone this
morning in view of the prominent mention of Mr* Warburg*s
testimony in the Hew Xork papers, it would be well to have
someone answer his criticisms while they are fresh* lie
suggested an answer to the effect that while the Banking
Bill does not create political control, it is well for the
people of the country to consider whether they would rather
have whatever political or government control there is in
the proposed legislation or a continuance of the private
banker or Wall Street domination as at present*
Be offered
to give the Hew York press an interview commenting on War­
burg* s testimony providing we would furnish him the ammuni­
tion*
