. 131 Office Correspondence r> Governor Eccles From.. J- M. JDaiger FEDERAL RESERVE BOARD Qate April 1, 1955, Subject: F.E.R.A. Figures on Unemployment in Building Trades, etc• In a memorandum that I sent to you last week about the relief bill, I referred to some figures on unemployment that I had been told Mr. Hopkins took with him when he accompanied the President to Florida. That therems such a set of figures, and that they showed the number of building-trades workers on relief to be considerably smaller than they are generally supposed to be, is borne out by the attached clipping from Paul Mallon!s article in the Washington Star of Saturday evening. It is evident that Mr. Mallon has got his figures directly from F.E.R.A. -f This article is protected by copyright and has been removed. The citation for the original is: Mallon, Paul.
