Dear Matt: I can't express how grateful I am to you for obtain ing Mr. Eccles’ consent to speak at our Annual Meeting. We have made hurried arrangements this morning for the meeting, and as you can see by the enclosed copy of my letter to Mr. Eccles, we are holding it at the Union League Club which was practically the only place in town having an available room of the needed size open for that date. As I understood from your conversation that Mr. Eccles wants this to be a strictly off-the-record meeting, our invita tions will carry the following wording: "Restricted to officers and directors of member banks."
