AIR MAIL
Mr. M. S. Eccles, Chairman
Board of Governors
Federal Reserve System
Washington, D. C.
Dear Chairman Eccles:
Be assured that we are very happy to have
your tentative acceptance of a place on our program
for May 18. Appreciating the many invitations of this
nature that you must receive, we are truly grateful to
you and feel splendidly honored that you say "yes" to
the proposed visit to Texas.
In the meantime, we are preparing for your
coming, and shall invoke the aid of all the favorable
gods in our behalf1
It is difficult to express by letter the
eagerness with which our people will welcome you. The
jovial and genial Randle Gilbert, so recently elected
President of our Dallas Bank, will see you about the
time this letter arrives. We have asked him, as a favor
to the general officers of our Association, as well as
your many friends in Texas, to tell you in person just
how pleased we will be to have you with us.
Most cordially,

S e c r e t a r/y
