Dear Mr* Eooles:
I am certainly delighted and happy to note from your letter of
August 8, 1950, that you have accepted to be one of our Convention
speakers* I was talking to Mr. Iff. R. Bimson, our President,
yesterday, regarding my invitation to you, and Walter was delighted
to hear that I had invited you, and followed my invitation by
writing you personally advising you how happy he likewise would be
if you would accept and attend our meetings, which we know you will
enjoy imnensely*
Our Convention, as we advised you, will be held on November 9, 10
and 11 at the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, Phoenix, so in order to pro
tect you on reservations we have asked our Reservations Chairman
to make reservations for you for November 9, 10 and 11* Registration
will start at 9j30 Thursday morning, November 9th, and the social
program will follow* The regular business sessions will start on
Friday, November 10th, at 9s00 A.M. I will see that you receive a
complete program in ample time for the Convention*

November 11th. The morning session on Saturday will start at 9*30*
We will be honored also by Mr* James E. Shelton, who is the incoming
President of the American Bankers Association and whom you know well.
Your talk will follow Mr. Shelton’s. We would like to have you give
us the title of your talk as soon as possible, as we are proceeding
to print our programs in plenty of time and give our Convention
plenty of publicity, it being our opinion we will have the largest
registration and Convention in the history of our Association* We
would like to have you limit your talk to 45 minutes. If you have a
cut of yourself and a resume of your biography, we would certainly
like to have it for our Convention publicity*
