December 19th, 1945

Hon, Marriner Eccles,
Chairman Board of Governors,
Federal Reserve System,
Washington, D. 0.
Dear Marriner;
Thanks so imich for sending me the clipping
from the Star giving Prime Minister King's view*
Needless to sayt I am glad to find him in agreement
with our view. 1 hope that you will give some
concentrated thought to the question of exactly how
to put into effect the ideas of a system of law in
the restricted field of armaments* I know it is not
easy, "but I still feel that it is possible*
X want to remind you of your promise to
give me a comprehensive memorandum on the British
loan.
I hope you have a fine Christmas and will
come hack in January full of energy and ideas.
With kindest regards, * am
