Dear Mr. Eccles*
I have your letter of March 5th together with a copy
of your statement and a copy of the letter from the Army
sergeant« We shall extend the forthright support of our
organization behind your proposal» There is no answer to
the point made by the Army sergeant other than the one which
you expressed in your statement«
I am therefore requesting our Legislative Committee to
follow this matter up with the Senate Committee on Banking
and Currency and with the appropriate House Committee to see
what can be done to obtain action thereon«
