Mr. Marriner S. Eccles
Chairman of the Board
First Security Corporation
First Security Bank Building
Salt Lalce City, Utah

Dear Mr. Eccles:
I should like to express my deep appreciation
for the assistance you and the other members of the
Advisory Committees of the Democratic Advisory Council
have rendered to the Party and to the Nation.
I know you agree with me that our country must
have new ideas if we are to maintain our position of
leadership. Your work has made important contributions
toward this objective.
In the weeks ahead there will be a pressing
need for such ideas, for solutions to the problems we face,
and for programs of action. I know that I can count on
your assistance in your individual capacity and through
the continuing operations of the Council and the Committees.
With every good wish, I am
Sincere
