Dear Mr. Eccles:
I have been asked by the Combined United States
and British Chiefs of Staff to express their gratitude to
you and the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve
Board for so graciously affording then the use of the
facilities of the Federal Reserve Building during the
period of their recent conferences.
Your generosity has made possible a most desirable atmosphere for the deliberations of the Combined
Chiefs of Staff which, it is hoped, will be reflected
in the wisdom of their decisions.
