Hon* Marriner Eccles
Federal Beserve System
Washington 25, D. C.
Dear Marriner:
Thanks a lot for your letter of December 1
together with a copy of your talk before the
National Industrial Conference Board in New York.
I have read this carefully and think it is a swell
job. Will you please send me five more copies
which I vrent to send to some business friends of
mine?
I amgoing to be away from Washington until
January 15 but when I get back I want to have
luncheon with you and go over the various trends
which you discussed in your talk, particularly in
terms of concrete steps we might take to avoid
some of the real, grim possibilities tfiich could
develop.
With all good wishes for a merry holiday
season»
Sincerely,
