Dear Gov.iiecles: I was very much gratified to receive a copy of your splendid address delivered before the Bankers Con vention in Few Orleans. I have read this with con siderable interest and agree with you in the position you have taken. I am convinced after a number of years of experience, that it is a splendid t ling for the officers of the Federal Reserve System to make addresses of this kind, and t o inform the public as to the condition of the Government finance, and especially of the attitude of the federal Reserve System on public matters.
