Your plans to address the 67th Annual Con­
vention of the Texas Bankers Association as
set forth in your letter to me of April 13
meets wholeheartedly the views of those in
charge of making arrangements for the conven­
tion, and particularly am I pleased with your
coming to do this important job.
Your arrival here at 1:50 p.m. on Sunday will
afford you ample time to mix and mingle with
the brethern under stimulating circumstances
in the cool of the evening. You will enjoy
these festivities, and your many friends of
the Southwest will be highly pleased to visit
with you informally.
At the Monday morning business session, the
principal speakers will be Jim Shelton and A1
Williams. Confidentially, I urged Philpott to
put you on the program in the afternoon follow­
ing Jim Shelton, it being my feeling that you
