Eccles c/o First Security Bank of Utah Salt Lake City Dear Marriner: Rudolf Zepeda, one of the our bank, is president of Association. He asked me might be a possibility of annual meeting which will November 9,10, and 11, to vice presidents of the Arizona Bankers last night if there your coming to the be held in Phoenix make a talk. While our bankers' association in this state is small, it is a rather popular meeting and we have usually a great many eastern bankers in attendance and for that reason, are usually favored with some very excellent talks. The program for this year will be an excellent one and if it would be possible for you to appear on our program November 11th, which is the last day of the meeting; it would do us a great honor and add a fine note of distinction to the whole proceedings. Incidentally, it would give me no end of personal pleasure to have the privilege of seeing you on my own home ground. WRB/pjp August 17, 1950. Mr. Walter R. iSimson, President, Valley National Bank, Phoenix, Arizona. Dear Walter: I appreciate receiving your letter of August 11, which was addressed to me at Salt Lake ulty and, therefore, was delayed in being received at my office here until today. It was thoughtful of you to write to me regarding the invita tion your Mr. Zepeda, as President of the Arizona Bankers' Association, has extended to me to be one of the speakers at the convention in November. I wrote Mr. Zepeda on August 8, advising him that I would be delighted to accept the invitation. No doubt he has shown you my letter of acceptance. I will look forward to my first trip to Arizona and the opportunity of visiting with you and other bankers on your own home ground. With kindest personal regards, Sincerely yours, M. S. Eccles.
