I send you herewith copy of the agenda for the
round table discussion on "Exploring the Government Securities
Outlook" (Its Economic Aspects), to be held under the sponsor­
ship of the Savings Bank Journal at the Metropolitan Club in
Washington, D . C . at five o'clock, Monday afternoon, February
26, 1940» May I ask you to study this agenda in preparation
for the discussion?
I
am sending you also copy of the list of con­
ferees who have been invited to attend, most of whom have def­
initely accepted.
If you have any suggestions which you desire me
to incorporate in the agenda which we will use during the dis­
cussion, in addition to what is attached, I should appreciate
hearing from you.
The first round table discussion tinder the spon­
sorship of the Savings Bank Journal was very successful. I am
informed that a copy of the Savings Bank Journal for February
containing report of the first conference is being sent to you.
Each conferee, before any publication, is requested to edit his
participation. I am certain that our conference will be con­
structive and valuable and we will greatly appreciate your con­
tribution to the discussion.
