Yours very truly, 5ec retaiy-B anager The Honorable Marriner S. Eccles Member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System Washington, D. C. March 9, 1951. Mr. Henry N. Thompson, Secretary-Manager, The Los Angeles Clearing House Association, Los ^ngeles 14, California. Dear Mr. Thompsons I appreciate very much the cordial invitation you extended to me in your letter of March 6, to be the guest of honor at a dinner given by The Los Angeles clearing House Association's member banks, at 7:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 7, at Perino’s Restaurant in Los Angeles. When Mr. Vilas Hubbard called me in January on the telephone about addressing Group 5 of the California Bankers Association he said there was a group who wanted to have a din ner for me after the meeting on April 7 and I told him that it would be agreeable to me. I assume that your invitation covers that dinner. If so I will be delighted to accept your invita tion. If it isn't I would suggest that you check with Mr. Hubbard. Sincerely yours, M. S. Eccles.
