Dear Mr. Eccles: As I mentioned to you in our telephone conversation today, I am delighted to hear that you will be with us for our luncheon of The Executives’ Club of Chicago on Friday, September 17. I know that our entire membership will be thrilled to know that they will have the opportunity of hearing you discuss the vital questions which affect our economic system so seriously today. To assist us in the preparation of our advance publicity material for the meeting to be mailed to our members, I would be happy to have you send us a biographical sketch and a glossy print. We should like to invite some of your friends in the city to sit with you at the speaker’s table that day and I would appreciate your giving me their names and addresses. Also, if you wish hotel accommodations, we would be glad to make a reservation for you. I shall look forward to meeting you here in the Club office at 11:30 Friday morning where we will be joined by our Program Chairman, Thomas H. Coulter, and our Executive Director, Major Etcheson.
