My dear Governor Eccles:
Following our usual custom at our
annual meeting each year, we are having our
family dinner in honor of state Farm Bureau
presidents, secretaries and home and commun­
ity chairmen at 6:30 o’clock on Sunday even­
ing, December 12, in the Bal Tabarin of
Hotel Sherman, Chicago, Illinois.
We would be delighted to have you
attend this dinner and so that we may know
whom to count on in making arrangements and
supply you with a ticket, may I have your
acceptance at your earliest convenience?

This will acknowledge with thanks your note
of November 16th inviting^me to attend the family
dinner in honor of statenfajar Bureau presidents, sec­
retaries and home and community chairmen at 6:30
o'clock on Sunday evening, December 12th, at the Hotel
Sherman.
I regret that I will be unable to attend the
dinner, as previous engagements here in Washington will
make it impossible for me to arrive in Chicago before
late Monday afternoon or Tuesday morning by plane.
