The Subcommittee on Monetary, Credit, and Fiscal Policies invites
you to appear as a witness at its hearing at 10 ofclock on Tuesday,
November 22, in Room 318 of the Senate Office Building* We hope
you will find it possible to accept for we know that you can make
an important contribution to the study.
It will not be necessary for you to present a prepared statement
at the hearing. We shall be glad to have you spend your time discussing with us some of the most important issues that have been
raised during the course of this study* To help you familiarize
yourself with the various points of view that have been presented
we shall try to put into your hands, well before the date of your
appearance, a Committee print containing all the statements that
have been submitted to us*
Please let us know at your earliest convenience whether you will
be able to accept*

as I advised,Dr. Chandler a few days ago,
Mr. Eccles agreed over the telephone to appear before
your Committee on Tuesday, November 22 at 10 o^clock
and will be prepared to discuss with your Committee,
as you request, some of the most important issues that
have been raised during the course of your study on
Monetary, Credit, and Fiscal Policies.
