Eccles Chairman, Board of Governors Federal Reserve System Washington, D. C. Dear Mr. Eccles: It is cuBtomary at the Annual Meeting of the Harvard Business School Alumni Association to release all addresses delivered at that time to the newspapers and news services here at Boston. It would facilitate matters if you could provide me with a copy of your address a day or so before it is to "be delivered. It will then be possible to prepare mimeographed copies here for the reporters. We should like to have a copy thet early, but if not we Should appreciate it if we could have two or three pages summarizing the address which ybu would be willing to have us give to the press. We should, however, like to have a copy of the full address in order to print it in the July issue of the Alumni Bulletin. Your cooperation in this matter will be greatly appreciated. Dear Mr. Maitin: I have your letter of June 2 in regard to furnishing you with an advance copy, or at least a summary, of my address to be delivered at the Annual Meeting of the Harvard Business School alumni As sociation. I have been so crowded that 1 haye not had an opportunity to prepare a manuscript and will be unable to do so until early next week. However, 1 plan to bring enough mimeographed copies with me so that they -can be distributed locally to the press. 1 trust that this will meet the situation. Sincerely yours, M. S. Eccles, Chairman.
