Honorable Marriner S. Eccles, Chairman
Board of Governors of the
Federal Reserve System
Washington, D. C.
My dear Marriner:
Everybody who attended our 55th Convention
in St. Louis, without exception, was extremely inĀ
terested in the message you so graciously delivered to
us. It was one of those extemporaneous surprises,
unprecedented and unrehearsed, and came straight from
your heart.
Believe me when I tell you your willingness
to do this and the force that you put into it made
you an awful lot of friends.
Thanks a lot for doing this for usl
Sincerely yours,

I
HGH/mf
