As I recall it, that engagement is for sometime in February. I shall appreciate your letting me know what your present plans are, and I sincerely trust that you still expect to make the contemplated trip. We certainly would like to have you, and would plan to have a meeting of our Board at the time you are here. H. G. Le€cfy Ppemdent January 31, 1949. Dear Gavin: I just received your letter reminding me that I agreed to come to Kansas City in case I made an address in Iowa sometime in February. I was unable to accept the invitation to speak in Iowa and) therefore, will not be in that section of the country in February. I expect to go West the latter part of March or first part of April and will plan to stop off at Kans.as City at that time. I will let you know definitely at a later date. Prior to that time I Fill no doubt be seeing you in Washington. With kindest regards. Sincerely yours, Mr. H. G. Leedy, President, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Kansas City 18, Missouri. VLE:ra
