Fe d e r a l R e s e r v e Ba n k of K a n s a s Cit y K a n s a s C i t y ia, M i s s o u r i March 10, 1949 Mr. Marriner S. Eccles, Governor Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System Washington 25, D. C. Dear Marriner: Our Board of Directors at its meeting today set the next meeting of the board for Thursday, March 31• This was done upon the assumption and with the hope that you will be with us at that time. If you are agreeable, I should like to arrange a dinner while you are here to which the principal officers of our member banks in the two Kansas Citys would be in vited. The group would number around fifty. I know all of them would like to hear you discuss any subject that you might feel free to talk about, and it could be done on an entirely informal basis. Please let me know whether such an arrangement would be agreeable to you. As soon as you are in a position to do so please advise me definitely about your plans, and I trust that nothing will interfere with your making the trip. Sincerely yours* I ll. Gv Ja€edy President
