Washington, D. C. June 12, 1941. Mr. Marriner S. Eccles, Chairman of the Board of Governors, Federal Reserve Board, Washington, D. C. Dear Mr. Eccles: It was my good fortune to be a guest at the Advertising Club of Washington luncheon at the Raleigh yesterday, and I was delighted at the opporĀ tunity to hear you speak. I enjoyed particularly the frank manner in which you addressed yourself to the subject at hand. As President of the De Paul University Law Class of 1920, it was my privilege to come into infrequent contact with Mr. Menc Szymczak. He was then a member of the school faculty and, while I have not seen him for years, I have been pleased to learn of his progress. Very truly yours, (Chief, Section of Finance, Interstate Commerce Commission)
