My dear Mr. Eccles,May I take this opportunity of ex­
pressing our appreciation and gratitude for your pre­
sence at the banquet which was given in honor of your
colleague, Mr. Szymczak.

Your excellent address was

extremely well received and our guests were happy in­
deed to have the rare opportunity of seeing and hear­
ing you.

It is no Idle flattery when I say that you

contributed very hand&omely to the success of the occa­
sion and our only hope is that it was as enjoyable to
you as it was to us.

I consider it a great privilege

to have met you and trust that it will be my good for­
tune to see you again.
Thanking you for having joined us
in honoring Mr. Szymczak and assuring you of our high
esteem, I am
