Eccles, Federal Reserve Board, Washington, D. C. Dear Marriner: You will be interested in President Rudolf Hecht's letter of March 9 addressed to me. It contains a very fine compliment concerning your good self and I thought I would pass it along. Rudolf is not aware of the fact that I am sending this letter to you. Will you please return it to me after you have read same. With best wishes to you and your family, I am Sincerely, Enc. S COPY AiiEkilCAN BANKERS ASSOCIATION New Orleans, La. March 9, 1935. Mr. Orval W. Adams, Utah State National Bank, Salt Lake City, Utah. My dear Orval: It is too bad that you were not able to attend the Pass Christian meeting, which turned out to be more interesting and important than I had anticipated. Governor Eecles1 presence particularly added a great deal to the occasion, and I mist say that he made a very excellent impression. Perhaps the best way in which I can give you at least a bird's eye view of the meeting is to send you the enclosed copy of the confidential letter which I wrote to Mr. Law, who was also unable to attend. Attached are the resolutions that are referred to in this letter and also a draft of a letter which will probably go out to the entire membership in the next few days. The special committee referred to in the resolution is going to Washington again next week. With kindest regards, Cordially yours, (Signed) Rudolph R. S. Hecht President
