25 May 22, The Honorable J. A« Xrug, Chairman, War Production Board, Social Security Building, Washington 25, D. C. U " Dear Mr. Sr*tg: I -very much appreciated your coming over to luncheon and giving ite an opportunity to discuss the W&gner-Spence Bill, which would permit the Beserve System to carry on the same lending mechanism during the next few years that has operated so successfully under the so-called V and T programs for the Army, Navy and Maritime Commission* I neglected to give you a copy of the amended bill as introduced by Senator Wagner and Mr. Spence, the respective Chairmen of the Senate and House Committees on Banking and Currency. Accordingly, I am enclosing a copy, thinking it might be useful for reference when you write the letter that you were good enough to suggest to Wagner and Spenoe in support of the measure. I certainly am glad to have your cooperation in this regard and would appreciate your sanding me a copy of your letter if convenient. With kindest personal regards. Sincerely y o u « . H. S. Bcoles, Chairman. Enclosure
