Hr« Dudley Hanson,
Executive Vice President,
Sew England Council,
Statler Building,
Boston, Massachusetts.
My dear Hr* Harmons
X am returning herewith corrected copies
which X have had mimeographed of the talk which X gave
before the Seventh Sew England Bank Management Conference
at Boston on Roveaber 15th* X very sincerely regret
having been delayed in revising the manuscript which you
were good enough to send to me* As you know, it had not
been my intention to have my remarks published since X
did not prepare an address and spoke off the record, but
in the form as revised it seems to me that there is no
objection to making this public, especially since some
of the matters which X undertook to discuss may be of
some current interest to the banking community generally*
I greatly enjoyed the trip to Boston and
was glad to have had the privilege of speaking before the
Conference* X wish to express again my appreciation of
the nany courtesies extended to me*
Sincerely yours,

11« S* Bedes,
Chairman*
