you on t h e telephone t o express again my a p p r e c i a t i o n o f
t h e leadership you have continued t o shorn and the cons i d e r a t i o n given t o t h e Reserve Board, and p a r t i c u l a r l y
t o mm, I n p e r m i t t i n g mm t o t e s t i f y before your Coomittee.
I must say i n a l l frankness t h a t your presence i n t h e
chairmanship of t h e Coomittee has weighed h e a v i l y w i t h mm
i n ay decision t o remain here i n Washington, and I would
look w i t h the deepest misgivings upon any change t h a t
would take you out o f t h i s key p o s i t i o n . I t h i n k you
know how I f e e l about i t s g r e a t importance, e s p e c i a l l y
