Dear Mr* Eccles:
I was pleased to read of your reappointment as chairman
of the Federal Reserve Board and beg to extend my
sincere congratulations on your splendid record.
Following the A. B. A. convention at Seattle I made

on many banks and attending some lodge meetings of
the Brotherhood of Railroad Trainmen, of which I
have been a member for nearly fifty four years*
Recently I attended the mid-winter meeting of the
Illinois Bankers Association also Reserve City
Association conference and Monday next, I plan to
attend, with Howard M. Sims, Manager of the Chicago
Clearing House, the mid-winter meeting of the Ohio
bankers at Columbus, then on to Washington and
shall ho|)e to have the pleasure of seeing you again
and other of my acquaintances on the board*
?:ith /kindest regards
