LEONARD PORTER AYRES
(1879 - 1946)

The papers of Leonard P. Ayres, school administrator,
economist, banker, general in the U.S. Army, economic adviser to
the Daves Plan conference, were given to the Library of Congress in
March, 1956 by Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Burgess, the former a nephew of
Mr. Ayres and son of Mr. V. Randolph Burgess, Under Secretary of the
Treasury for Monetary Affairs.
