The papers of Franklin Delano Roosevelt, Assistant Secretary
of the Navy, Governor offlewYork State, President of the United States
for U terms (which included the banking holiday, the devaluation of gold
and the Federal Reserve Acts of 1933 and 1935)> are housed in the
specially built Roosevelt Library at Hyde Park, N. Y. by the wish of
President Roosevelt, Most of them reached the library in 194-7* The
collection includes books, pictures and memorabilia as well as Albany and
White House papers and a vast personal correspondence.

Papers that are open (about 85% of the entire collection) may
be used by qualified students seeking them for research purposes.
Literary rights should be discussed with the librarian if any
quotation from the papers is contemplated.
