The papers of Dr. Emanuei Alexander Goldenweiser, economist,
Director of Division of Research and Statistics of the Federal Reserve
Board, were given to the Library of Congress by Mrs. Goldenweiser
on October 7, 1955.

Goldenweiser in this collection and in other collections of papers
in the custody of the Library of Congress, have been dedicated to
tne public, except that those literary rights are reserved to Mrs.
Goldenweiser during her lifetime.

Scope and Content Note

While the Goldenweiser Papers cover the years 1919 to ±952,
they bulk largest from 1930-4-5• They relate almost -wholly to financial and economic affairs with major emphasis on Federal Reserve
Board matters* Correspondence is included -with (among otners) the
following persons: Dean Acheson, Louis D. brandeis, Paul H. Douglas,
Karriner Eccles, Ralph A. Young, Carter Glass, John Maynard Keynes,
Charles Rist, and Fred M. Vinsocu
