The papers of Ray Stannard Baker, author, were presented to
the Library of Congress in 1943 and 1943* Series 1 came to the Library
as a deposit, -with the Woodrow Wilson Papers, in 1939 and were made a
gift in 1943; Series 2 came as a bequest to the Library in 1948.

Literary rights in the unpublished writings of Ray Stannard
Baker have been reserved; and are administered on behalf of Mr. Baker1s
heirs by Katherine E Brand.
The papers were described in "The Personal Papers of Ray
Stannard Baker," in the Library of Congress Quarterly Journal of
Current Ace;uisitions, August 1948 (Vol. 5, ifo# 4) •
Mr. Baker attended the Paris Peace Conference in 1919 and
in 1922 wrote WoodrowOWilson and the World Settlement, ja History of
the Peace Conference (3 vols.). He edited The Public Papers of
Woodrow Wilson (6 vols.j with Professor W. E. Dodd, and wrote Woodrow
Wilson—Life end Letters (8 vols.)•
