papers ere s e i d by h i s widow (Mrs* Eleanor C u r t i s , 120 East 30 S t r e e t ,
N.2.C.) t o have been destroyed*

A two volume meaoir of h i s l i f e was recorded by Mr. Curtis
for the Oral History Project o f Columbia U n i v e r s i t y . Some f i f t y
pages from t&ese memoirs, dealing with Mr. Curtis 1 experience v i t h
Federal Reserve l e g i s l a t i o n i n 1913 and e s General Counsel, Deputy
Governor and Secretary of the Federal Reserve Bfcnk o f Hew Xork during
i t s f i r s t f i v e y e a r s , have been photostatted f o r the Committee* two
copies are i n Committee f i l e « »
Literary r i g h t s i n th© unpublished memoirs of Mr. Curti»
are reserved to Mrs. Curtis during her l i f e t i m e . They are understood
t o revert to Columbia University a f t e r her death.
