Mr* Qordon ¥asson casae into the banking business in 1934 as
a writer on the New lork Herald f ribune. He knew Governor Strong and
Montagu Herman, but he himself did not enter the banking complex
until 1934* His memories of both Mr. Strong and Mr* Morgan are the
memories of a reporter called in to anticipate what his fellow reporters might want to know before a press conference was held.
He never knew Pierre Jay.
He will keep the project in mind and will let us know if
items occur to him which would be of use to us*

Mr* Wasson said that underneath much of the testimony of the
Pujo Committee were ideas which were germinal in regard to the Federal
Reserve Bank* Samuel Bnterssyer was Counsel for this* His papers might
