TREASURY WAR BORROWING AND THE BANKS.
Report of Economic Policy Commission, April, 1942.
This report presents estimates of the size of the var
program to be financed and discusses various methods of
raising the needed funds. It discusses the role of the
banks in war financing and the probable effect of war
financing on loans and investments, deposits, capital
funds, and the ratios of capital funds to deposits and
to loans and investments. The investments are through
June 30, 19-43.

possible long-range and postwar effects as well as the
immediate situation.
