Dear Everett:
Here a r e xerox copies of Mildred Adams Kenyon's memos and
notes based on her interviews with Owen D. Young, you and your father.
Also enclosed a r e her notes on p a p e r s in Mr. Young's files bearing on
the F e d e r a l R e s e r v e System.
I hope these will be helpful, but I suspect there is little here that
you do not have from your files or recollections,
I've gone over Mildred's other notes. The occasional references to
M r , Young and Mr, Case refer briefly to their activities, and I found
nothing substantive that would be helpful to you as to performance, or
c h a r a c t e r , except respect.
I m u s t add that it has been refreshing to read Mildred's notes.
The towns, villages, and f a r m s there produced m o r e men of character
than the suburbs do today.
In my previous letter I was wrong in one detail. The Glass papers
w e r e already a t the University of Virginia. We m e r e l y supported a
project to have Kincaid index them. That was done. Les Chandler's
book on Benjamin Strong was also a product of this endeavor.
Sincerely yours,

Robert D. Calkins
