COMMITTEE ON irts HISTORY OF TK FEDERAL RESErtvc oVi I tM Miss Mildred Adams, Research Director, Committee on The History of The Federal Reserve System, 33 Liberty St., New York 45, N.Y. _\fi$iJ ^7& Dear Miss Adams: UNITED STATES FEDERAL RESERVE SYSTEM With further reference to your inquiry of December 29, I have looked over our files and find they contain nothing useful concerning the effect on the Canadian banking system of the United States Federal Reserve System. Back numbers of the Journal of The Canadian Bankers' Association which is now called The Canadian Banker contain numerous articles on the operation of the Federal Reserve System in the United States but do not appear to touch on the specific topic you have in mind namely, the effect of your new system on ours. For your convenience we attach a list of these articles on the Federal Reserve System with the names of the authors in case you may care to look them over. There have been no such articles in recent years. Sets of The Canadian Banker may be found in the following places in New York: a. The New York Public Library b. Library, American Institute of Banking rx *: ^| In addition there are some back numbers but probably not full sets in the libraries of: f i^ ) jk tpf a. Columbia University's School of Business b.
