Kahan, Arcadius, 1920-1982

Arcadius Kahan was a 20th-century economic historian and professor at the University of Chicago. Kahan was the author of "The Hammer, the Plow, and the Knout," a book presenting his explanation of the foundation in the eighteenth century of the Russian economy and power structure.
