Viral V. Acharya is an Indian economist who has been appointed as Deputy Governor of Reserve Bank of India (RBI). He also serves as a member of the advisory council of the RBI Academy and is a member of the Academic Council of the National Institute of Securities Markets (NISM), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) since 2014.
